About Us

Hi, we are Martin and Joyce Turner from Petersfield in Hampshire. We bought our tandem 3 years ago so that we could enjoy outside exercise together in our maturing years. After both working for 50 years, we decided as we entered retirement that we wanted a challenging adventure that we could do together as equals which would also benefit two charities we are passionate about. What better way than riding our tandem 1200 miles (with 60,000ft of hill climbs!) on the Sustrans cycleways from Land’s End to John O’ Groats. As we are both starting to creak a bit from age we realise this is going to be tough but we are determined to complete the challenge in 30 cycling days (plus a few rest days!).

Our planned start date from Land’s End is 6th June 2021. UPDATE: We are on our way!
